Neben den bedeutendsten WissenschaftlerInnen in diesem Bereich gibt eine Vielzahl von Beitragen zu soziologischen, ethnologischen, archaologischen, religiosen, politischen und kunstlerischen Themen Aufschluss uber den engen Zusammenhang von Sport und Kultur.
